BAME/PoC LGBTQ Role Models programmes

j-applebee:

I have hesitated about posting this link.  Stonewall used to be AWFUL to bisexual people, but they have improved a bit over the years since the current person in charge took over.

If you do consider attending this FREE programme, ask questions, don’t get fobbed off, and practice self care.  Bisexual People of Colour get all kinds of negativity from people who should know better.  You do not deserve to be dismissed or erased, wherever you are.

UK Black Pride

UK Black Pride is happening on Sunday 9th July in London.  Black Pride isn’t the most inclusive place for bisexuals, but don’t let that put you off if you’re able.  It’s a one-of-a-kind event for black, asian, and minority ethnic LGBT+ folk in the UK.

Bi Men of Colour needed for radio interview

Forwarded Message:

I’m a journalist seeking to connect with you. I’m working on a radio documentary about being bisexual and this show is imbalanced.

Do you know of any British BAME men who actively engage with your group who you think would be willing to  discuss the possibility of being included in this forthcoming project (which is imminent for broadcast). I say MEN because right now the documentary is shaping up with a predominance of WOMEN already….

Please drop me a line or pass me details of anyone you think might be great to talk on the phone in the first instance, but very quickly.

Thanks in anticipation.

The B’is of Colour History Report has been reprinted as a full-colour A5 booklet, just in time for Pride season!

If you would like some free copies for your stall at Pride or any other event that needs bisexual visibility, email us at bis.of.colour@gmail.com and we can send some out to you.  We have a limited budget, so we can only send a small amount outside the United Kingdom (overseas postage is wicked-expensive), but give us an email and we will try to sort something out.

For those who need screen readers, the poster reads:
