Welcome to black history month!
Here’s a diagram of a slave ship.
Here’s a pic of Martin Luther King.
Here’s exactly where you fit.Do Black Britons have a history?
Do we even have a past?
Where we came from isn’t a mystery;
We’ve been here since Roman soldiers with skin so dark. You’ll see us if you care to look
On stained glass in cathedral windows.
So why’s UK Black History Month a US event?
Why’s history a white washed show?We have poets and composers,
Leaders of the TUC & politicians.
We fought in world wars, and we fought for peace –
You’d know that if you’d care to listen. Our achievements aren’t only in the past,
We make history every day.
So don’t ignore Black Britons
This October, hear what we have to say.
Another clip from the great Bi Visibility Day even in Leicester, on the birth of Bi’s of Colour.
On Bisexual Visibility Day 2016, I spoke at Leicester’s LGBT centre about bisexual immigration problems. I was joined by fellow activist, Grant.

Edited to add: Event now going on until 7pm!

We will meet from 3pm – 7pm. Please come along to have a chat in a relaxed safe space. We will be discussing our exciting plans for a Bi’s of Colour book!

RACE TRAITOR Fall 2003 | The White Anti-Racist Is an Oxymoron: An Open Letter to “White Anti-Racists”
This rang true to me – the many ways that when People of Colour talk, our voices are silenced, but when a white person speaks: everyone listens.
28 COMMON RACIST ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIORS
At such a disturbing time for many People of Colour, white allies may want to help. But they cannot help us if they replicate racist behaviour and attitudes. Bisexual people of colour are in a vulnerable position, so don’t open us up to even more hate.
Black Lives Matter. And that includes black bisexual lives too.

Saturday 25th June marks London LGBT Pride. It also marks the Queer Trans and Intersex People of Colour picnic in Burgess Park, London. So if you’ve had enough of pinkwashing of racism, colonialism, biphobia and transphobia in London’s Lesbian and Gay scenes, go to the picnic instead! There will be no corporate sponsors pushing alcohol, no armed forces, and no facist hate groups. In fact, this will be the polar opposite of what London LGBT Pride has become. The hashtag for this picnic is #Notyourfuckingrainbow and that kinda says it all…
